Wearable technology or “wearables” are smart electronic devices that are part of your clothing, but can also be connected directly to the surface of your skin. Smart wearables use sensors to record information of the body or the surroundings (e.g. heart rate, muscle fatigue, GPS tracking, etc.) and enable data analysis or biofeedback.
Besides smart wearables, there are also digital wearables, i.e. clothes using electrical technology. Their functions range from heating apparel to baseball caps or – currently very useful – masks with personalized messages using LED technology or air purifiers.
However, wearable technology in the broadest sense also includes different – really, really useful – gadgets with surprising functions that enrichen life incredibly. Enter, enjoy and get surprised!
